James is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney with over 15 years of experience with patent preparation and prosecution. Prior to Renaissance IP Law, James worked for a top-rated law firm drafting and prosecuting patent applications for cutting-edge technology corporations in a wide range of hardware and software technologies that include memory technologies, wireless technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data algorithms, computer and enterprise cloud security, and solid-state storage technologies. Previous to practicing patent law, James worked as a hardware engineer designing IP routers for a large enterprise networking company. James earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and a JD from Creighton Law School.
In his free time, James enjoys hiking, climbing mountain peaks, and gardening with his family.
